Felicia Van Vianen
Ordained Minister in Elk Grove, California
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became ordained because I believe love and life’s biggest moments deserve to be honored in a meaningful way, without gatekeeping or judgment. I wanted to be able to officiate ceremonies that feel personal, sincere, and authentic, whether they’re spiritual, non-religious, or somewhere in between. From weddings and vow renewals to moments of healing, transition, and remembrance, my goal is to bring warmth, peace, and a calm, loving presence to the milestones people carry with them forever.
Where are you from?
I’m originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and have lived in Staten Island, New York, Palm Harbor, Florida, and even Norway. Now I’ve built my life in California, but no matter where I am, I’ll always carry that East Coast heart, grit, humor, and honesty with me.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to create ceremonies and connections that feel deeply human, heartfelt, and memorable. My goal is to help people feel seen and supported during important milestones, especially weddings (including same-sex marriages), vow renewals, premarital counseling, and moments of healing or transition. I’m also honored to provide funerals/celebration-of-life ceremonies, house blessings, spiritual guidance, and spiritual healing services, including Reiki. Above all, I want to bring warmth, meaning, and a calm, loving presence to the moments people will remember for the rest of their lives.
Religious Affiliations
Universal Life Church
Additional Information
My affiliation is rooted in inclusion. I believe people should be able to celebrate commitment and love without being boxed into one religious structure. I’m honored to officiate ceremonies across faith traditions, spiritual paths, or fully secular ceremonies.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Elk Grove, CA wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is that they feel real. I take time to get to know each couple so the ceremony reflects who they truly are, not a cookie-cutter script. I bring warmth, calm, and intention to the moment, with the perfect balance of heartfelt and joyful, so it feels meaningful, memorable, and deeply personal.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I’m based in the Sacramento area and happily travel throughout California. I regularly officiate weddings (including same-sex marriages) and vow renewals across Northern California (Sacramento, Napa/Sonoma, Tahoe, and the Bay Area), and I’m also available to travel to Southern California, including Los Angeles, with advance notice. I also provide celebration-of-life services, house blessings, and spiritual guidance/healing (including Reiki).
