Dr. Wendy Ann Cooper
Ordained Minister in Ogden, Utah
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained officiant because I truly believe love deserves to be celebrated in all its forms. As a life coach and someone deeply involved in community service, I’ve always found joy in supporting people during their most important moments.
When a close friend asked me if I could officiate their wedding, I felt honored, and I knew I wanted to do this for others too. Getting ordained online made it simple to step into this role and help couples make their marriages official in a way that feels meaningful, stress-free, and true to them.
For me, officiating weddings isn’t just about signing paperwork or reading vows. It’s about being part of a moment that changes lives, creating a calm and welcoming space where couples can focus on what matters most, their love and commitment to each other.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Ogden, UT wedding officiant?
I think what makes my ceremonies special is the way I truly see each couple as unique. I take time to understand their story, what brought them together, and what they want their ceremony to feel like whether it’s quick and simple or deeply personalized.
I bring warmth and calm to every ceremony, so couples can feel comfortable and just focus on each other in that moment. I also love adding small touches, like a meaningful quote or reflection about their journey, that makes their vows feel even more special.
At the end of the day, my goal is for every couple to walk away feeling loved, celebrated, and ready to start their marriage journey with confidence and joy. That’s what makes my ceremonies meaningful to me and hopefully to them too.

Additional Information
I want couples to know that my services go beyond just the ceremony itself. I’m here to make their day easier and less stressful, whether that means helping with paperwork, guiding them through vow choices, or suggesting local spots for a simple ceremony.
I also want to make sure everyone feels included and respected. I’m proud to support LGBTQ+ couples, commitment ceremonies, vow renewals, or any non-traditional celebrations that honor love in all its forms.
For me, being a minister is about creating a moment that feels authentic, comfortable, and beautiful, no matter how big or small the ceremony is. I want every couple to feel like their love was celebrated exactly how they wanted.
