The Nevada Wedding Officiant Kit was designed in partnership with the government of Nevada to satisfy the complicated legal requirements of that state.
Nevada Permanent Wedding Kit Details
If the engaged couple has plans for a grand wedding in fabulous Las Vegas, The Biggest Little City in the World (Reno) or any other locale in the Silver State, you must register with the county clerk before the wedding. Our portion of the paperwork will be filled out, but there are a few things you must do: complete the application with your name and address, sign the verification page in front of a notary, and mail in the paperwork with ample time together with a $25 application fee (check or money order).
This wedding kit includes: Instructions for the proper completion and submission of the application paperwork, an official signed and sealed ordination credential, a notarized letter of good standing, a notarized affidavit of authority to solemnize marriage, a wedding officiant application form, and a ULC marriage certificate.
Please note that Nevada requires a minimum of 30 days to process your wedding officiant application. If your wedding is happening in the next 30 days, you will be unable to officiate as a ULC minister. Also, a physical address is required as we cannot ship these to a PO Box.
This package contains an affidavit you will need to complete to register as a permanent wedding officiant in the state. Once registered you will be allowed you to perform more than 5 wedding ceremonies in the state per year. You must be a Nevada state resident to apply for this special type of license, and you must register in the county where you reside. Residents of specific counties may be required also to complete other affidavits or online courses, so do please check with the county clerk with which the marriage license will be filed to ensure that you meet all of their requirements.
Clark County Officiants - The Clark County clerk requires a separate registration process for ministers to be able to perform weddings. The minister may be required to complete an online course and pay a fee to the county clerk to complete their registration. The Nevada Permanent Kit for Clark County will include your documents to use for ministerial purposes as well as a copy of the separate Clark County application form which does not require an affidavit of authority.
If you are not a Nevada resident, or don't plan on performing more than five wedding ceremonies, the Nevada Temporary Wedding Kit may be a better option for you, and is also available in our online minister supplies catalog.
