Paola Sarita Sylvine Altine
Ordained Minister in Coral Springs, Florida
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister online to fulfill a lifelong calling—to create a bridge where tradition meets progress, a path where women can step into meaningful roles within faith communities. My ordination isn’t a departure from my Catholic roots but an extension of them. Rooted in my upbringing, I felt the Spirit’s nudge to move beyond, to embrace the full potential of leadership and service that transcends boundaries.
The Bible itself uplifts the role of women in ministry. Just as Deborah led Israel as both prophet and judge (Judges 4:4-5), I feel called to lead with wisdom and strength. Like Phoebe, a deacon commended for her service to the church (Romans 16:1-2), I too am here to serve with compassion and dedication. Acts 2:17-18 reminds us that God’s Spirit is poured out on both sons and daughters, calling them to prophesy and share His word. These verses affirm that my mission aligns with the divine purpose.
Married to a Baptist, I’ve come to see faith as a beautiful mosaic, like the stained-glass windows of a church—each tradition adding its unique light and color. Whether attending non-denominational services or steeped in the richness of Catholic liturgy, I serve with authenticity and grace.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My hope is to carry forward the message of Galatians 3:28, that in Christ there is neither male nor female, but all are one—each called to serve. Together, let’s create something meaningful, rooted in love, and woven with faith.
Religious Affiliations
