Lori Hilliard
Ordained Minister in Halls, Tennessee
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I was first ordained to officiate family weddings, but discovered I love sharing in the joy of any couple commtting to each other, particularly those who may feel marginalized or uncomfortable in a traditional church setting.
Where are you from?
Originally, Pittsburgh, but I now now live in Western Tennessee.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
To offer marriage services to those who don’t belong to a church or want a service outside the traditional Christian mainstream. I am happy to perform ceremonies for loving gay, bi, and trans couples. I am non-denominational and will get to know each couple, writing personalized ceremonies based on their beliefs, whether atheist, Buddhist, Jewsh, Christian, or other.
Religious Affiliations
Unitarian Universalism, Universal Life Church
Additional Information
I am open to all religions that uplift others and do not condemn others for being different.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Halls, TN wedding officiant?
I am a writer by profession and get to know each couple personally. Each ceremony is unique and uses resources and quotes specifically chosen for them. I add a touch of humor if the couple would like.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I am in Western Tennessee, between Dyersburg and Memphis.
