John Vernon Thomas
Ordained Minister in lithonia, Georgia
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I’ve always felt a deeper purpose in guiding and uplifting people. After surviving a lightning strike as a teenager while working at the Louisville Courier-Journal—right in front of about six of my coworkers—I knew I was different ever since. That moment changed me, and I believe God kept me around for a reason. My journey has been one of resilience, faith, and leadership, and getting ordained was another step in using my experiences to help others. Whether it’s officiating weddings, offering spiritual guidance, or simply being a source of encouragement, I see this as a way to fulfill my purpose and make a real impact in people’s lives.
Where are you from?
Im from Louisville Kentucky
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I got ordained online through Universal Life Ministries because I believe in being a positive force in people’s lives. My goal is to use this ordination to officiate weddings, offer spiritual guidance, and be a source of encouragement for those who need it. I’ve always been someone who motivates and uplifts others, and this just gives me another avenue to do that. Plus, having been through my own spiritual journey—especially after surviving a lightning strike—I feel called to use my experiences to help others find strength, faith, and direction in their own lives.
