John D Campbell
Ordained Minister in Mocksville, North Carolina
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally thought it would just be funny. Then I kinda started taking it seriously. Then I fell out of it again. Now I'm starting to form my own Norse Pagan Hof.
Where are you from?
Cooleemee, NC
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I would love to successfully start the first Non-Christian church in my County.
Religious Affiliations
Asatru, Atheism, Baptists, Buddhism, Christianity, Neopaganism, New Age, Norse Religion, Wicca
Additional Information
I grew up Baptist in a southern town. I tried to fit in with the church until about 15 or so. then I explored Wicca, Witchcraft, New Age, dabbled in black magick. Went agnostic for awhile. Became a father and gave Jesus a try a few times again. Came to the conclusion that the concept of a god was a lie. Explored the teachings of Buddha for a bit. Found some good wisdom in there. Started listening to a new genre of music, (Northern Spirits on Spotify) felt a deep connection. Started studying on the Old Gods, (Norse Pantheon) felt a deeper connection.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Mocksville, NC wedding officiant?
The fact that I'm willing to perform ceremonies for the LGBTQ+ community in the Bible Belt. Also, even though I am Norse Pagan, I am familiar enough with the Christian faith that I would feel comfortable performing Christian Ceremonies as well.
