I was asked to officiate a wedding for two close friends and jumped at the chance to make their love official!

I come from Wyoming, but have been local to north-central California for nearly 20 years.

I worship the universe and science is my dogma; I consider myself a naturalistic pantheist that values reverence for the nature around us and and view the discrete "self" as nothing but a self-aware partition of that universe—we are star stuff, we are the universe experiencing itself. I occasionally also consider myself something of an atheistic witch or pagan, and practice psychological and chaos magick, with Sol, our solar system's host star, as the prime focus of my rituals.

I come from a Lutheran family but followed my instincts toward atheism as a youth, though I always had a soft spot for the aesthetics and tenets of Satanism and have a special veneration for the mythological Lucifer, the Light Bringer, and his infamous resistance to the ultimate authoritarian tyranny of the Christian god. Lucifer lit my way towards claiming my own spirituality. Over time I've learned much of Eastern religions and opened my heart to both more grounded and abstracted ideas of divinity than those of personal deities and supernatural afterlives.

I am also keen to not take life so seriously and am willing to conduct absurd Discordian, Subgenius, or Pastafarian ceremonies, and would be more than willing to conduct a silly non-denominational/atheistic ceremony as well. I am not strictly a wiccan myself but am not opposed to calling myself a Witch, and would be open to learning more about Wiccan ceremonies should someone desire my services to that end.

I believe in the individual's inviolable right to autonomy and self-empowerment, and as such I like to emphasize the conscious choice each party makes when merging their lives through marriage. I also believe love knows no bounds and will officiate marriage between any consenting adults regardless of identity.

I would prefer NOT to perform ceremonies on officially consecrated ground under a major faith, I do not believe it is my position to conduct services in such a place.

Although multiple-marriage is not legal in the state of California, I will gladly perform handfasting and commitment ceremonies for polyamorous and ethical non-monogamous collections of adult lovers, provided consent of everyone involved.
