I became an ordained minister because I felt a strong calling to serve others and contribute to my community in a meaningful way. Ordination provided me with the opportunity to engage in pastoral care, lead worship services, and officiate significant life events such as weddings and funerals. I believe that being an ordained minister allows me to support individuals and families during important moments in their lives, fostering spiritual growth and community connection. I am affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of Ohio, which is part of a larger network of American Baptist congregations. This affiliation is significant to me as it represents a commitment to a faith community that values inclusivity, social justice, and the importance of personal faith journeys. The American Baptist tradition emphasizes the autonomy of local churches, allowing for a diverse expression of beliefs and practices while maintaining a shared commitment to the core tenets of Christianity. Being part of this denomination also provides me with valuable resources and support, enabling me to better serve my community. I appreciate the emphasis on mission work and community engagement, which aligns with my own goals as a minister. What makes my ceremonies special as a wedding officiant is my commitment to personalization and connection. I believe that every couple has a unique love story, and I strive to reflect that in each ceremony I conduct. I take the time to get to know the couple, understanding their values, traditions, and vision for their special day. I also focus on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that allows the couple and their guests to fully engage in the moment. Additionally, I prioritize open communication and collaboration throughout the planning process, ensuring that the couple feels supported and confident in their ceremony. This includes premarital counseling, which helps couples prepare for their journey together by fostering open communication and addressing important topics. I also provide spiritual guidance and support for those navigating challenging times, whether through grief counseling, pastoral care, or simply being a listening ear. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where individuals can explore their faith and find comfort. Additionally, I am available for various ceremonies, such as baptisms, memorial services, and other significant life events, ensuring that these moments are meaningful and reflective of the beliefs and values of those involved.
