Ordained Minister in Flushing, New York
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I felt a deep calling to serve others in a spiritual capacity, but I wanted the flexibility to do so on my own terms and in a way that felt authentic to my values. Traditional ministry paths didn’t align with my lifestyle or personal beliefs, and I felt that an online ordination would allow me to connect with people who might not feel at home in conventional religious institutions. I wanted to create a space where people could explore their spirituality freely, without judgment or rigidity, and where I could facilitate meaningful moments, whether that was through officiating weddings, offering spiritual guidance, or holding community events.
The convenience and accessibility of online ordination also appealed to me, as it allowed me to begin my journey without having to follow a structured program or be tied to a specific denomination. I saw it as an opportunity to expand my reach, helping others who might be seeking spiritual support but aren’t connected to a particular faith community.
Ultimately, I became an ordained minister online because I felt it would allow me to live out my calling in a way that embraced inclusivity, personal growth, and the freedom to explore diverse spiritual practices.
Where are you from?
I’m from New York, a place known for its vibrant energy and diverse culture. Growing up in the city, I was surrounded by people from all walks of life, each with their own unique stories and perspectives. The fast-paced environment taught me to adapt quickly and think on my feet, while the rich history and countless opportunities sparked my curiosity and drive to explore new ideas and experiences.
New York is a place where dreams are made, and it has an undeniable sense of possibility. Whether it’s the iconic skyline, the bustling streets of Manhattan, or the quiet charm of neighborhoods like Brooklyn or Queens, there’s always something to captivate the imagination. The arts, music, food, and diverse communities shape the character of the city, making it a melting pot of cultures, traditions, and voices.
Despite its hectic nature, New York also offers moments of reflection, from serene parks to cultural landmarks that remind you of the city's deeper roots. Living in New York has taught me the importance of resilience, creativity, and staying true to oneself amidst the chaos. It’s a place that will always feel like home, no matter where life takes me.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
If I were to answer this question from the perspective of someone pursuing an online ordination, I’d frame it like this:
My primary goal in seeking online ordination is to empower myself to serve others as a spiritual guide and leader. I hope to deepen my understanding of spiritual teachings and traditions, as well as to develop the skills needed to support individuals on their personal journeys toward healing, growth, and self-discovery. Through online ordination, I aim to access a flexible, modern approach to spiritual leadership, allowing me to minister to a diverse community with varying needs, beliefs, and life circumstances.
Moreover, I hope to create a safe and inclusive space for those who may not feel comfortable in traditional religious settings, offering them a platform to explore their spirituality at their own pace. I want to facilitate meaningful conversations, ceremonies, and rituals that reflect the interconnectedness of all people, regardless of background.
Ultimately, my goal is to foster compassion, understanding, and community while remaining open to continual growth and learning. Through online ordination, I can reach and positively impact individuals in a meaningful way, bringing light and support to those who seek guidance.
