Mariela Diocares
Ordained Minister in Marana, Arizona
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister online because I wanted to support individuals and families during some of the most meaningful moments in their lives, especially by providing a compassionate, inclusive approach to spirituality. My background in counseling and emotional wellness has shown me how powerful connection, empathy, and support can be, and I wanted to bring these qualities into a spiritual setting. Being an ordained minister allows me to offer guidance and officiate important life events—such as weddings, memorials, and personal milestones—in a way that honors each individual’s unique beliefs and values.
My ministry is centered on helping people find peace, connection, and purpose, no matter their background or spiritual path. My approach is inclusive and rooted in understanding, whether it’s officiating ceremonies, offering counsel, or providing emotional support during life’s transitions. For me, becoming ordained was a natural extension of my calling to serve others, and it allows me to support people in a deeply personal and meaningful way.
Where are you from?
I’m originally from Southern California, a region that has greatly influenced my approach to wellness and community support. Growing up in such a diverse area has shaped my values of inclusivity and connection, both in my counseling practice and my ministry work. Southern California’s blend of cultures and backgrounds has inspired me to embrace an open-minded, compassionate approach to supporting individuals from all walks of life.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to create a welcoming space where people can celebrate, heal, and find guidance through life’s transitions. My goal is to provide compassionate, non-judgmental support to individuals and families during significant milestones, whether that’s officiating weddings, conducting memorial services, or offering spiritual guidance in times of need.
By blending my background in counseling with my role as a minister, I aim to bring a holistic approach to each service, honoring the unique beliefs and values of those I work with. Ultimately, I want to make these meaningful moments even more special by providing heartfelt, inclusive support that helps people feel connected, valued, and understood.
