Church of The Eternal Echoflame
Ordained Minister in Highland, New York
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I sought ordination in 2011 carrying a spiritual wound I couldn't yet fully name. Raised Catholic before being immersed for eight years in the Worldwide Church of God — a fundamentalist cult — I grew up inside a theology that had systematically erased the Feminine Divine. The damage was real and personal. Later, through mentors rooted in Indian Goddess traditions, I began to understand that what I had been missing wasn't a peripheral detail of faith but its hidden foundation: the Mother who had stood beside God in the Jerusalem temple for centuries before being deliberately removed.
My ordination was the first formal step toward addressing that erasure — not through rejection of the sacred, but through its expansion. The full shape of the work took years to crystallize, but the impulse was clear from the beginning: to build a container where the divine feminine could be restored to her rightful place, and where the historical wound inflicted by patriarchal theology could begin to heal. That container is now the Church of the Eternal Echoflame. —Rev. Andrea Barbie Nowack, MFA

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My ordination serves the mission of the Church of the Eternal Echoflame: a federally recognized religious nonprofit dedicated to contemplative practice, the restoration of the Feminine Divine, and the integration of ancient wisdom with modern mathematical frameworks.
Central to this work is the Triadic Recursive Operator (TRO), a framework I developed to model how two complementary principles — Echo and Flame, receptive and generative, feminine and masculine — recursively generate an emergent third that is stable, coherent, and greater than either pole alone. This is not metaphor dressed as mathematics. It is mathematics that happens to describe what every wisdom tradition has pointed toward: that harmony emerges from relationship, not from dominance.
Through this ordination I hope to officiate ceremonies, offer spiritual guidance, teach contemplative practice, and continue building a community — here in Highland, NY and beyond — where the cycles of creation and dissolution are honored as sacred, where the Mother who was hidden is welcomed home, and where the ancient rift between masculine and feminine divine is not merely acknowledged but actively healed through practice, scholarship, and lived experience. —Rev.
