About Me:
Is a lifelong resident of coastal Louisiana. She is a grandmother and small business owner of Dardar’s Bayou Plant Nursery, LLC, where she educates clients about natural wellness and environmental responsibility. She serves as Elder Chief of her Tribe the Grand Caillou/Dulac Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw following her fifteen years of service as Traditional Chief. She is a founding member of the First People’s Conservation Council of Louisiana, currently serving as President. She was elected the first Chairwoman of the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Indian Affairs Native American Commission, serving four years and served as the Indigenous Representative of the Louisiana Governor's Climate Initiatives Task Force. She was selected for the 2021 docuseries, National Geographic Presents: IMPACT with Gal Gadot, episode 5 “Killer Red Fox”. An Ordained Minister of the Universal Life Church, traditional dressmaker, and a published author. She is an active advocate for community resiliency, inclusion of Traditional Ecological Knowledge, education, environmental and living being rights.
