Michele A Cassone, North Winds Journey
Ordained Minister in East Northport, New York
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
As a Shamanic Practitioner with 20 years of sacred experience, I have recently been ordained to elevate my spiritual practice. From my earliest days of offering Reiki and serving as an End-of-Life Doula, I felt an ever-deepening call to honor the profound transitions of the human soul. That calling led me to become an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church—a spiritual role where I can solemnize weddings, officiate funerals, and accompany people through life's most significant rites of passage. As a minister, I weave together my gentle energy work, intuitive Reiki healing, and trauma-informed guidance as a doula to create ceremonies that are deeply personal, healing, and spiritually resonant. Whether I’m guiding joy-filled unions or offering grace and presence at life’s closing moments, my sacred intention is always the same: to hold space for love, connection, and transformation with compassion and reverence.
Where are you from?
I am located on Long Island, NY, USA. Please contact me at the listed number or email info@northwindsjourney.com. www.northwindsjourney.com
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to use my online ordination as a sacred extension of the work I already do as a Reiki Practitioner and End-of-Life Doula—creating meaningful, heart-centered ceremonies that honor life’s most profound transitions. Through the Universal Life Church, I can legally and lovingly officiate both weddings and funerals, weaving in the same compassion, presence, and energetic support that guide my healing practice. My goal is to provide deeply personal experiences—celebrating love and new beginnings with joy, or offering comfort, closure, and spiritual peace at life’s end. In every setting, I strive to hold space where people feel truly seen, supported, and connected, fostering moments that are not only ceremonial but also deeply healing and transformative.

Additional Information
I am an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church, a non-denominational organization that embraces inclusivity, spiritual freedom, and the belief that all people have the right to follow their own path. My affiliation allows me to honor and serve individuals from all faiths, as well as those who identify as spiritual but not religious.
This openness aligns beautifully with my work as a Reiki Practitioner and End-of-Life Doula, where respect for each person’s beliefs and values is essential. I approach every ceremony—whether a wedding, funeral, or other life passage—with the intention of creating a space that is welcoming, affirming, and deeply personal. My commitment is not to one doctrine, but to the universal principles of love, compassion, and connection that transcend any single tradition.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a East Northport, NY wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special as a wedding officiant is the way I weave heart, spirit, and personalization into every moment. I approach each union as a sacred milestone—listening deeply to the couple’s love story, values, and vision so the ceremony truly reflects who they are. My background as a Reiki Practitioner allows me to infuse the space with a calm, uplifting energy that helps couples and guests feel grounded, present, and connected.
I also bring the sensitivity and compassionate presence I’ve cultivated as an End-of-Life Doula, which helps me honor the emotional depth of the occasion and create an atmosphere of reverence. Whether it’s adding a blessing, incorporating symbolic rituals, or simply holding space with warmth and sincerity, my ceremonies are designed to be memorable, meaningful, and filled with love. Couples can trust that their day will not just be beautiful—it will feel deeply authentic to them.
