Min. Shannon D. Cooke
Ordained Minister in Hinesville, Georgia
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister online to provide meaningful services to people who may not be connected to a traditional church but still desire spiritual support during significant life events. My military service exposed me to individuals from diverse backgrounds who often lacked access to faith-based resources while facing personal trials, grief, and transitions. With my background in faith and heart for service, I felt called to step into that gap—to offer hope, healing, and guidance to those who need it most, wherever they are.
Where are you from?
I come from a place shaped by strong values, deep faith, and a commitment to service. It’s a community where resilience is second nature and where taking care of others is just part of who we are. The experiences I’ve had—both in and out of uniform—have grounded me and given me a heart for people from all walks of life.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to create a bridge between people and the spiritual support they may not know how to access. My goal is to offer comfort, guidance, and presence—especially during life’s most meaningful or challenging moments—whether it’s celebrating love through a wedding, honoring a life during a funeral, or simply being there during times of crisis or transition. I want to meet people where they are, without judgment, and serve with compassion, faith, and understanding.
Religious Affiliations

Additional Information
My faith is the foundation of everything I do, but my ministry is built on love, not labels. While I come from a Christian background and my beliefs are rooted in the teachings of Christ, my approach is open-hearted and inclusive. I understand that not everyone walks the same spiritual path, and that’s okay—I’m here to serve people from all backgrounds with respect, compassion, and care.
My religious affiliation informs my values—grace, service, humility, and faith—but it never limits who I serve or how I show up for them. Whether someone is deeply religious, spiritual but not religious, or just seeking comfort during a major life event, they’ll find a welcoming and supportive presence in me.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Hinesville, GA wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special as a wedding officiant is the intentional care I put into making each moment personal, heartfelt, and authentic to the couple. I take the time to learn your story - your journey, values, and vision for their future—so that the ceremony reflects who they truly are. With my background in faith, service, and counseling, I bring a calming presence, thoughtful words, and a deep respect for the sacredness of the union. Whether it's spiritual, traditional, or something uniquely crafted, I strive to create a space that’s meaningful, inclusive, and unforgettable.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I have a heart for serving in both traditional and non-traditional spaces—especially those tied to the military and underserved communities. I’m particularly familiar with working around military bases, veteran organizations, and community centers, where people may need spiritual care but don’t always have easy access to it.
I’m now based in Hinesville, GA, and I proudly serve the surrounding areas, including Fort Stewart and nearby communities. Whether it’s a chapel on post, a backyard, or a quiet park, I bring the same level of care, professionalism, and presence wherever I go.
