Scott
Ordained Minister in Emlenton, Pennsylvania
About Me:
I am a newbie. I performed one marriage. My brother-in-law asked me to officiate his marriage at the beach, and I blended two families in to one. So that's why I became ordained. He and his now wife reviewed the ideas and vows I worked on for them, made their tweaks/changes over a few weeks and we had a beautiful beach wedding that lasted in its entirety for about 15 minutes.
While I am inexperienced, I will listen to what you want. If you don't know, I will provide you with some ideas, and we go from there until YOU have the perfect service. We will figure out your ceremony together. If you already know what you want and just need an officiant, then tell me when and where to be! Fees negotiable on what your need is.
And while I am no pro, nor have any formal training to counsel, I do have kids (HA!) I am more than capable and willing to talk with you and your love about the commitment you are about to make. I use several resources in my own marriage, that would not have survived without them, and I am a better partner and person because of them. I would love to share with you my experiences to make sure you start your new lives on the right track.
I'm married to my incredible high school sweetheart for over 20 years, and we have three great teens. Wasn't always easy. And I've made some mistakes. But we made it through. And my heart has been different ever since. I've worked full time in healthcare for over 20 years since college. And wow, a person sees a lot in healthcare!
When that pitter patter is constant and all you can do is think about that other person and how you cannot live without them, that's love. Sure, there is more to it than that, but love is something that comes from the heart. I can see the need to be available for those who wish to declare their love for each other AND have a paper to prove it!
No government entity or person should be able to separate people in love. And so, I say to those that oppose my feelings: Matthew 7:1 NIV “Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Because John 13:34-35 NIV 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
We'd all live in a better world if everyone could just remember those two simple commands.
And so, best of luck to you in your search for an official and I wish you the best with your partner!
