William Kettler
Ordained Minister in Three Oaks, Michigan
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I offer wedding and commitment ceremonies for couples who feel most at home outdoors—far from churches, crowds, and convention.
My services are designed for natural settings and often involve hiking or traveling to remote, meaningful locations. Forests, overlooks, deserts, riverbanks, high country trails—places chosen not for convenience, but for significance.
Before becoming ordained, I worked as a tour guide, where I was frequently asked by couples to help them find out-of-the-way places for intimate weddings in nature. Those requests—and the stories behind them—led me to formalize what I was already doing: helping people mark important moments in places that feel true to who they are.
After becoming ordained, I began offering wedding services specifically for couples who want something simple, sincere, and deeply personal—without the structure or expectations of a traditional church ceremony.
