Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
In my 20s I was planning on entering the Catholic seminary. I had a letter of introduction from an Army chaplain I had served as an assistant at mass. One of my favorite authors at that time was Thomas Merton, but I also started reading Alan Watts. I came to realize while I believed in the mission of a pastor I no longer believed in god. So I chose the only option to be properly ordained while non-religious.

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
To listen and counsel. At 72 with some health issues I’m no longer able to actively participate in weddings or funerals, but I can still lend an empathetic ear in confidence.
