Honestly, I became an ordained minister because I believe that love is one of the most powerful things we experience in this life, and I wanted to be part of something that reminds people just how beautiful it can be.

Life can be complicated. People face heartbreak, loss, uncertainty, and moments when the world feels like it's falling apart. But somewhere in the middle of all that, two people can find each other and decide, out of all the people in this world, that they want to walk through life together. To me, that's extraordinary.

I wanted to be the person who gets to stand beside them in that moment. The person who gives a voice to the promises they make, who helps turn their love story into a memory they'll carry for the rest of their lives, and who reminds them that their love deserves to be celebrated.

I don't believe you need four walls, a fancy building, or a particular denomination to make a moment sacred. Sometimes the most meaningful places are beneath an open sky, beside a quiet lake, in a backyard filled with family, or in a room where two people are holding hands and trying not to cry.

Becoming ordained gave me the opportunity to be part of those moments. And if I can help two people begin their marriage feeling seen, heard, loved, and understood, then I've done something that matters.

Because at the end of the day, I don't just want to officiate a wedding. I want to help create a moment that two people will remember when they're old and gray, sitting beside each other years from now, remembering the day they promised forever.

And if I get to play even a small part in a love story that lasts a lifetime, then I believe I was exactly where I was meant to be.

I believe what makes my ceremonies special is that I don't see a wedding as just a ceremony. I see it as two people standing before each other, with their hearts wide open, choosing to spend the rest of their lives together. And I believe that moment deserves to be treated with the love, care, and respect it deserves.

Every couple has a story. Maybe they found each other when they least expected it. Maybe they survived heartbreak before finding the person who finally felt like home. Maybe they've spent years building a life together, raising children, overcoming obstacles, and loving each other through the beautiful and difficult seasons of life. Whatever their story looks like, I want their ceremony to reflect them.

I don't believe in cookie-cutter weddings or words that could belong to just anyone. I want to know what makes their love unique, what brought them together, what they've overcome, and what forever means to them. I want their ceremony to feel like their love story has been given a voice.

And if there's laughter, I want to hear it. If there are tears, I want them to know those tears are welcome. If they need a moment to hold each other's hands and take a breath because the emotions are overwhelming, we take that moment. There's no rushing something this important.

My goal isn't simply to help two people get married. It's to create a moment they'll carry in their hearts long after the flowers have faded, the music has stopped, and the wedding day has become a beautiful memory.

Because one day, years from now, I hope they'll look at each other across a room, reach for each other's hands, and remember the promises they made. And I hope that, even for a little while, they can feel exactly what they felt standing there on their wedding day.

That's what makes this meaningful to me. I'm not just there to pronounce two people married. I'm there to honor their story, celebrate their love, and help them begin their next chapter with a memory worthy of the life they're building together.
