Oliver Joel Hernandez
Ordained Minister in Bahia de Banderas, Nayarit
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister because I believe that love, commitment, and the decision to build a life together deserve to be celebrated in a meaningful and personal way. Becoming ordained online gave me the opportunity to legally and symbolically serve couples from different backgrounds while creating ceremonies that truly reflect their story, values, and personalities.
Where are you from?
I am from Mexico City and have built my professional and personal life in Mexico. Today, I am based in the Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit region, one of Mexico's most beautiful destinations for weddings and celebrations.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My goal is to help couples create a ceremony that feels authentic to them—not simply a traditional script. I want every couple to feel heard, respected, and represented during one of the most important moments of their lives.
Religious Affiliations
Christianity
Additional Information
I respect people of all faiths, spiritual beliefs, and personal philosophies. My role as a minister is not to impose a particular religion, but to create a ceremony that honors the couple and their beliefs.
I am comfortable incorporating spiritual, religious, cultural, or secular elements when requested by the couple, always with respect and sensitivity.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Bahia de Banderas, NAY wedding officiant?
I believe the most special part is personalization. I take time to understand each couple's story, how they met, what they love about each other, and what they want to promise for their future.
I combine warmth, professionalism, storytelling, and a genuine connection with the couple and their guests. Whether they want something romantic, emotional, elegant, intimate, bilingual, or lighthearted, I adapt the ceremony to their vision.
My goal is simple: when the ceremony is over, the couple should feel that it could only have been their ceremony.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
My primary service area is Puerto Vallarta, Bahia de Banderas, Riviera Nayarit, Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerias, Punta de Mita, Sayulita, San Pancho, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, and surrounding destinations.
I have extensive experience working with destination weddings and hospitality environments, which allows me to understand not only the ceremony itself, but also the importance of timing, guest experience, hotel coordination, and creating a seamless celebration.
