Regardless of your reason for the need for an officiant, it is important that the choice be compassionate and free of prejudice.

For marriages, I meet with both parties and address any/all concerns to the best of my abilities. My goal then becomes to ensure that the event is something memorable and special.

For funerals, I understand that compassion is required in the planning and implementation of services and in providing non-religious services and compassion is my top priority and part of my identity.
