Min. Caleb Owens
Ordained Minister in Eau Claire, Michigan
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister because I believe everyone deserves to be met with love, dignity, and compassion during life’s most meaningful moments. My background in church ministry and music shaped my desire to serve others, and online ordination offered another way to put that calling into action. Celebrating same-sex marriages is especially meaningful to me: every couple deserves an officiant who welcomes them wholeheartedly and honors their commitment.
Where are you from?
I am based in Eau Claire, Michigan, with strong family and church ties to South Bend, Indiana. As a U.S. Army veteran, church musician, and community-minded leader, I bring a spirit of service and a personal connection to the people and communities I serve.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to help people feel seen, respected, and celebrated through meaningful ceremonies and compassionate ministry. My goal is to create wedding ceremonies that reflect each couple’s story, values, and beliefs—whether faith-centered, interfaith, or nonreligious. I welcome LGBTQ+ couples and people from all backgrounds. Beyond the ceremony, I want my ministry to encourage kindness, strengthen community, and turn faith into everyday acts of love and service.

Additional Information
My spiritual roots are in Christianity, with experience in Baptist and African Methodist Episcopal church communities. My approach to ministry also welcomes thoughtful exploration, learning from different faith traditions, and respect for those whose beliefs differ from my own. I believe faith should be reflected in how we love, serve, and treat one another. I welcome people of all faiths and those with no religious affiliation, honoring their convictions without imposing my own.
