I had already spent years in church leadership and pastoral ministry, and I wanted the freedom to continue serving people outside the walls of a traditional institution. Online ordination gave me a practical way to officiate weddings, walk with people through meaningful moments, and continue the parts of ministry I still deeply value: listening well, asking difficult questions, and helping people make sense of faith, life, grief, doubt, and change.

I’m based in Greenville, South Carolina, where I spent years serving in church ministry before my work expanded into writing, music, media, and conversations about faith and spiritual reconstruction.

I want to create space for people who still have spiritual questions but may no longer feel at home inside traditional religious institutions. My approach to ministry is less about providing people with predetermined answers and more about helping them examine what they believe, tell the truth about what they’ve experienced, and hold onto what is genuinely good.

That philosophy has become part of my work as an “Anti-Pastor” and through my YouTube show, Heretics in Hatchbacks, where I have honest conversations about faith, doubt, trauma, institutional religion, mental health, art, and spiritual reconstruction. I hope my ordination allows me to keep showing up for people in the moments that matter, whether that means officiating a wedding, having a difficult conversation, or simply giving someone permission to ask the question they were once afraid to ask.

My roots are deeply Christian. I spent years in pastoral ministry and continue to engage seriously with Christian scripture, theology, and the teachings of Jesus. At the same time, my relationship with Christianity is intentionally non-institutional and open to questioning, reconstruction, and dialogue across different beliefs and traditions. I believe faith should be examined rather than protected from examination, and that healthy spiritual conversation should leave room for doubt, curiosity, conscience, and lived experience. “Test everything; hold fast what is good” has become a guiding principle for the way I approach faith and ministry today.

My ministry is especially focused on people navigating faith transitions, spiritual reconstruction, church hurt, grief, doubt, and major life changes. I offer pastoral presence and spiritual guidance without requiring people to arrive at a predetermined theological conclusion. My goal is to create room for honest questions, thoughtful reflection, and meaningful conversation, particularly for people who may feel alienated from traditional religious institutions. Much of this philosophy also informs my work as the “Anti-Pastor” and my YouTube show, Heretics in Hatchbacks, which explores faith, trauma, certainty, mental health, art, power, and what remains when inherited beliefs are honestly examined.
