Nicole Wight
Ordained Minister in Lewisville, Texas
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became ordained online because people I loved needed someone they trusted to walk with them through meaningful life moments. They wanted a ceremony led by someone who knew their story, their values, and their hearts, not a stranger.
At the time, I was already actively serving in ministry and pastoral care, particularly through Celebrate Recovery, where I spent years supporting people through addiction, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. Ordination allowed me to show up fully and appropriately in those moments.
What began as a practical step became something much deeper. I realized how powerful it is to mark life’s sacred milestones with intention, compassion, and presence. That experience ultimately led me into formal seminary training and a deeper commitment to ministry.
For me, ordination was never about a title. It was about being available when people needed someone steady, faithful, and grounded to stand with them.
Where are you from?
I’m originally from New Jersey and currently live in Texas. My journey has taken me across different regions and church communities, which has shaped my perspective, empathy, and approach to ministry.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to use my ordination to serve people during some of life’s most meaningful moments. Whether that’s a wedding, a vow renewal, or another sacred milestone, my desire is to help create spaces that feel intentional, loving, and deeply human.
I want people to feel seen, respected, and cared for, especially those who may not feel fully at home in traditional religious settings but still long for meaning, reverence, and blessing.
My goal is not to perform ceremonies, but to help people pause, reflect, and mark important transitions with honesty and joy. If someone walks away feeling grounded, hopeful, and more connected to one another, then I’ve done what I set out to do.
Religious Affiliations

Additional Information
My faith is rooted in historic Christianity, shaped by both my Orthodox upbringing and my ongoing formation through seminary training and local church life. I honor the richness of ancient Christian tradition while also embracing the lived, everyday faith of the modern church.
I am deeply centered on Jesus, His teachings, His compassion, and His call to love God and love others. I believe faith should move us toward humility, justice, mercy, and grace, not fear or exclusion.
While my background spans different expressions of Christianity, my approach to ministry is relational rather than rigid. I value unity over division and believe God meets people exactly where they are.
My goal in any ceremony or ministry moment is not to promote a denomination, but to create space for reverence, love, and meaning that reflects the couple’s values and beliefs.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Lewisville, TX wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is that they are deeply personal, intentional, and rooted in meaning. I don’t believe a wedding should feel like a script someone found online. It should feel like the couple, their story, their values, and the love they are choosing every day.
I take time to truly know the people I’m officiating for. Your ceremony is not about perfection, performance, or pressure. It’s about presence. It’s about creating a sacred pause where two people say yes to one another with honesty, joy, and reverence.
My background in ministry, recovery work, and seminary training has taught me how to hold space with empathy and care. I’m comfortable with emotion, with laughter, with tears, and with moments that feel holy because they are real.
Whether your ceremony is spiritual, faith-centered, or simply meaningful and reflective, I aim to create something that feels grounded, beautiful, and unforgettable. A moment that doesn’t rush past you, but stays with you long after the music fades.
And yes, I bring a little edge and individuality too. Love is not one-size-fits-all, and your ceremony should never be either.

Additional Information
I was baptized in a Ukrainian Orthodox Church and raised within the Orthodox tradition, which continues to shape my faith and reverence for Scripture. Over the years, my journey has also led me into non-denominational Christian ministry, and I am currently an active member of The Branch Church in Carrollton, Texas.
I am completing formal seminary training through Rockbridge Seminary, with a focus on biblical studies, servant leadership, and practical ministry. My calling is deeply rooted in helping people encounter Jesus in real, honest, life-on-life ways.
For many years, I served as a Celebrate Recovery ministry leader, walking alongside people in some of their most broken seasons and watching God do what only God can do, restore, heal, and redeem.
I believe God’s love is unconditional, transformative, and available to everyone. All people bear the image of God and deserve dignity, compassion, and grace.
And yes, I am a little different. I have purple hair, a goth aesthetic, and a deep love for both ancient faith and present-day ministry. If you are looking for someone grounded in theology, shaped by lived experience, and unafraid to bring a little edge alongside deep empathy, you just found your person.
