Glen Roberts
Ordained Minister in Oak Grove, Louisiana
About Me:
I am nondenominational and not judgmental. If you have a valid Louisiana marriage license I can happily and legally officiate your wedding ceremony regardless of your religious affiliation/beliefs or your lifestyle. I’ll do regular marriages, same sex marriages, interracial marriages, inter religious marriages, etc. as long as you have that valid Louisiana marriage licenses. Unfortunately, I have physical limitations which prevent me from traveling more than a few miles from Oak Grove, LA and also prevent me from performing long, drawn out ceremonies. It will have to be short and sweet but will be legal. Other than all the legal papers, the state of Louisiana does require the couple to have a ceremony officiated by a person who is legally registered to conduct the ceremony in the Parish where the ceremony will take place but only two things, witnessed by two adults, are required during the ceremony for it to be legal. 1: Permission/consent (That’s the “I do’s” stating that you are both willingly entering into the marriage.) 2: Pronouncement (That’s when the officiant states “By the power vested in me by … I now pronounce you…”). It won’t have to be quite that short and sweet, however, anything else is simply optional ceremonial dressing and it is completely your choice as to what else transpires. I’m sure we can work something out that I can physically handle and will make you happy. I know first hand that extenuating circumstances happen, therefore, my fee may be negotiable.
