According to the Christian faith, God revealed himself to mankind gradually throughout the history of Israel and the Church. This process reached its fullness in Jesus Christ. Along with Judaism, Christians confess that God is one and that He is the Creator of the visible and invisible, spiritual world, and is transcendent to it[12]. Man is the crown of creation, the image of God, displaying the mind of the Creator. However, man's present existence is in conflict with God's original creative intention. This conflict cannot be removed by human forces, due to original sin, which has caused man to live in alienation, violating God's Law and justice, and is subject to sin and death. God responded to this condition through the Incarnation of His Son, the Word made flesh (John 1:14). Since at least the Council of Nicea (325), it has been part of Christian orthodoxy to believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, equal in essence to God the Father, and therefore God is one in essence, triune in persons (hypostases): as God the Father, the Son of God (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. Over the centuries of Christianity's existence, the canon of faith has been defined differently by theologians. However, the absolute minimum, which can no longer be reduced to go beyond Christianity, is the belief that through the life, death and resurrection of Christ, God brought salvation to the world
