I only do this upon request from couples I’ve known for a while. I do not do weddings as a service, but rather offer my services as an alternative thus providing a form of familial/friend support. All my participation will be focused on providing a Christian foundation to this “life” event. I have been involved in weddings many times. I love working with young people just starting out, so when they don’t have a church family to approach, or have been essentially unchurched, I am more than willing to be there for them as a guide, and sometimes interpreter for what they are seeing and hearing.
