Jason Lee Maietta
Ordained Minister in Fishkill, New York
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became a minister when a family member asked me to officiate a vow renewal ceremony for her and her husband. What began as a special favor for someone I love quickly became something much more meaningful to me. I truly enjoyed having the opportunity to bring two people together and help them celebrate their love, commitment, and the promises they made to one another.
Marriage and family are also very important to me personally. I genuinely enjoy being married to my wife and the life and family we have built together, which has given me a deep appreciation for the love, partnership, commitment, and memories that come with marriage.
Being able to help other couples celebrate the beginning or continuation of that journey is something I find incredibly rewarding. That first vow renewal inspired me to continue officiating and helping couples create ceremonies that are personal, meaningful, and memorable.

Additional Information
I am a Christian; however, I am not a pastor or priest and do not represent a particular church or denomination. As an ordained wedding officiant, I am happy to perform ceremonies for couples of all faiths, interfaith couples, and couples who are non-religious. I believe each ceremony should reflect the beliefs, values, and wishes of the couple. Whether you would like a Christian ceremony, a ceremony with some religious elements, or a completely secular ceremony, I am happy to work with you to create a ceremony that feels meaningful and authentic to you.
