Elise Skibik
Ordained Minister in Charlemont, Massachusetts
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister because I believe that love, spirituality, and meaningful human connection deserve to be honored in ways that reflect each individual's beliefs and personal journey.
As a trauma-informed life coach, Reiki Master, and holistic practitioner, my work has always centered on helping others find connection, healing, and purpose. Becoming ordained allowed me to expand that mission by officiating meaningful ceremonies that celebrate love, commitment, and life's important transitions.
I wanted to offer an inclusive, compassionate approach where couples feel free to celebrate their union authentically, whether through traditional vows, spiritual rituals, or personalized ceremonies.
For me, being an ordained minister is another way to serve others, honor their stories, and create meaningful moments rooted in love, intention, and connection.
Where are you from?

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
Through my ordination, I hope to create meaningful, inclusive, and deeply personalized ceremonies that honor love, commitment, spirituality, and the unique journeys that bring people together.
As a Reiki Master, trauma-informed life coach, and holistic practitioner, my mission has always been to empower others through connection, compassion, and intentional living. I hope to bring these same values into my role as an ordained minister, offering couples the freedom to celebrate their love in ways that authentically reflect their beliefs and traditions.
I also hope to expand my service to the community by creating sacred spaces for life's meaningful transitions, incorporating elements such as Reiki, sound healing, crystal symbolism, and personalized rituals when welcomed.
Ultimately, my goal is to help people feel seen, respected, and celebrated while creating lasting memories rooted in love, unity, and purpose.

Additional Information
I am an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church, hold a Letter of Good Standing, and am registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
My approach to ministry is inclusive, compassionate, and respectful of diverse spiritual and religious beliefs. While my personal and professional work incorporates holistic spirituality, Reiki, meditation, and energy-based practices, I do not believe that meaningful ceremonies should be limited to one particular religious tradition.
I welcome individuals and couples from all faith backgrounds, spiritual paths, and those who identify as nonreligious or secular. I believe in honoring each person's freedom to define their own relationship with spirituality, love, and commitment.
My role as a minister is not to impose my beliefs, but to create a welcoming space where others feel empowered to celebrate their own.
At the heart of my ministry are love, compassion, acceptance, personal freedom, and respect for every individual's unique journey.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Charlemont, MA wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the deeply personal, compassionate, and intentional approach I bring to every couple's love story. I believe a wedding ceremony should be more than exchanging vows; it should be a meaningful reflection of two individuals choosing to build a life together.
As an ordained minister, Reiki Master, trauma-informed life coach, and holistic practitioner, I offer a unique blend of traditional officiating and optional spiritual experiences. From personalized vows and crystal unity rituals to Reiki-inspired blessings, sound bowl ceremonies, and intuitive readings, I help couples create an experience that genuinely reflects their values, beliefs, and connection.
I also understand the importance of making couples feel comfortable, heard, and respected. My trauma-informed approach emphasizes emotional safety, inclusivity, personal choice, and honoring individual boundaries.
Beyond the ceremony, I offer creative touches such as personalized invitations, keepsakes, and digital reflection workbooks that encourage connection and intentional growth.
What truly sets my ceremonies apart is my belief that love should never have to fit into a mold. Whether a couple desires something traditional, spiritual, intimate, or unconventional, my purpose is to honor their story and create a moment they can carry with them throughout their lives.
