Rev. Dr. Dorthea Enrique is an interfaith minister, spiritual counselor, and holistic healing practitioner rooted in Detroit’s legacy of resilience and rebirth. With a background in human resources, administrative leadership, law/ policy and spiritual counseling, she partners with community leaders to elevate ethics, emotional wellness, and dignity in public service.
Her mission is simple. Heal the city. Empower the people. Restore the soul of Detroit, one conversation, one prayer, and one community at a time.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Detroit, MI wedding officiant?
My ceremonies are special because they are deeply personalized and rooted in spiritual connection. Each ceremony is crafted to honor the unique love story of the couple, blending interfaith principles with meaningful rituals that resonate with their values and beliefs. I focus on creating a sacred space where love, commitment, and community come together in harmony, fostering a sense of joy and unity that lasts beyond the ceremony itself.
I also bring a holistic approach, incorporating elements like affirmations, blessings, and mindful presence, which help couples and their guests feel truly connected to the moment. This intentionality transforms the ceremony into not just a legal union but a profound spiritual experience.
