Bishop Marcus Lang
Ordained Minister in Kenosha, Wisconsin
About Me:
I’m an Apostolic Preacher. I want to baptize souls in Jesus Name and make sure souls receive the Holy Ghost. Dr Marcus Lang Biography
I am Dr. Marcus Lang Sr. and I was born to the union of Vanessa and Troy Lang (raised by Freddie James Washington) in Columbus, Mississippi on June the 6th 1976. I went to Brandon Elementary school as a small child. In 1985 my mother recognized a need to leave the south to better her and her children lives. We stopped in St. Louis Missouri first, Chicago, and finally Kenosha, Wisconsin. We arrived in Kenosha Wisconsin in the middle of winter and had to be enrolled in school 2days later. This proved to be difficult because we never really had snow in the south. Nevertheless, I was enrolled into Wilson Elementary School. I received a formal education in Kenosha’s public schools (4-9 grades). Later in the 9 grade my family decided to move back to the South to be closer to our families. During that time, the south went through a dramatic change and my family knew it was time to go back home. I graduated from Columbus High School. Next, I always wanted to be a college graduate so I enrolled in East Mississippi Community College. There was still something missing, I felt I had God, an education but no one to share it with. I put my education on hold to get married. I married Latasha Wright (Lang) and started a family. To our union; we have 4 wonderful children: Markesha Marcus Jr. Marquez Marshaun. I never really liked the "Southern Life”, I loved the hustle and bustle of the north. I missed my friends. I chose to move back to Kenosha to attempt to “make something of myself”. I always knew I wanted to be my mother’s first child to receive a College degree. In the fall of 2002, I chose to enroll at Concordia University in the BA Management and Communication Program. This was challenging because I worked full time and went to school. I had to stay up late and tell friends I couldn’t come out as much. I sacrificed a lot. By the Grace of God and his unmerited favor. I received my Bachelors in Management and Communication with a minor in Human Resource Management on May 17, 2008. In September of 2009 I saw the need to continue my educational journey. So, I enrolled at Grand Canyon University in the Masters of Science Leadership program. This program was completed in June of 2011. Lastly, I completed program my Doctorate in Theology in 2013. That same year the Lord allowed me to plant, Acts Family Worship Center, Apostolic Church. Many souls have came to Christ under our Ministry. I am a true testament, that dreams do come true with the help of God.
