Malinda Weaver

Born and raised as Catholic, Catholicism influenced my chosen religious affiliation, Christianity.

Everyone seeks acceptance, validation, patience and understanding.

Having had been introduced to Catholicism as a young girl, and attended Annunciation Grammar Catholic Elementary School, Sts. Peter & Paul and Our Lady Star of the Sea, I had grown up maintaining a prayerful, personal relationship with God, The Father, Jesus, His Son and The Holy Spirit My faith has been tested, as with so many Christians that have decided to become a follower of Jesus Christ. God has called me to become His Servant, Jesus has walked with me daily for many years, before walking with Jesus, He has carried me more times than I will ever know.

God had a divine plan for me. I walked away from fear.

He showed me that I could survive severe human torments, beatings, rape, dehumanization of homelessness and teach me how precious His Gift of free will is and how blessed I am to be free.

Held up, held back, held down and then fell down multiple times, nearly losing will, but not hope, I always knew that I was not alone in what I was going through, depressed, felt the edge of the world, like I would fall off the edge. Thankfully, God said, "Oh no Malinda, we are not having any of that nonsense, I have not led you through losing everything and your faith was steadfast throughout - for you to get this far to turn back now."

Leading me to the doors of Delgado Community College in Slidell, La., I have since graduated with a General Studies Associates Degree, earning a major in Psychology and a minor in Fine Arts.
