Kaci M. Alvarado - Kaci's West Texas Weddings
Ordained Minister in Amarillo, Texas
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church because I believe that love—real, messy, joyful, sacred love—deserves to be honored in all its forms. After years of life, loss, and growth, I wanted to help others celebrate their most meaningful moments with authenticity, inclusivity, and heart. Becoming ordained online gave me a way to say “yes” to that calling—to craft ceremonies that reflect each couple’s story, values, and journey. Whether it’s a canyon elopement, a vow renewal, or a simple “I do,” I’m honored to stand beside people as they step into a new chapter together.
Where are you from?
I’m from Amarillo, Texas—born and raised in the heart of the Panhandle, where the sunsets stretch for miles and Palo Duro Canyon is just a stone’s throw away. I officiate weddings across West Texas and specialize in outdoor ceremonies filled with heart, beauty, and wide-open skies.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to create meaningful, inclusive, and deeply personal ceremonies that honor every kind of love story. With my online ordination, I’m able to legally and joyfully stand with couples during one of the most important moments of their lives—whether they’re eloping under the canyon skies, renewing vows after decades together, or blending families in a heartfelt celebration. My goal is to bring warmth, intentionality, and West Texas soul into every ceremony I perform.
Religious Affiliations
Baptists, Christianity
Additional Information
I was raised in a Christian tradition and still carry a deep sense of spiritual connection and belief in a loving God. At the same time, I honor and welcome people of all faiths, spiritual paths, and belief systems—including those who don’t identify with any religion. My role as a minister is to meet each couple where they are and create a ceremony that reflects their values, not mine. Love is sacred in every form, and I believe all are worthy of celebration.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Amarillo, TX wedding officiant?
My ceremonies are special because they’re built on connection. I take time to learn each couple’s story, their values, their quirks, and what truly matters to them. Whether it’s an emotional elopement in Palo Duro Canyon or a joyful backyard vow renewal, I craft ceremonies that feel authentic, not cookie-cutter. I bring a warm, inclusive presence, a deep respect for the moment, and a touch of poetry and humor that reflects the couple’s heart. Every ceremony is personal, meaningful, and created with genuine love.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
Yes—I specialize in ceremonies in Palo Duro Canyon, which offers one of the most breathtaking backdrops in Texas for elopements, intimate weddings, and vow renewals. I’m based in Amarillo and regularly travel throughout the Texas Panhandle, including Canyon, Claude, and Caprock areas. I’m deeply familiar with the terrain, the weather, and the unique logistics of outdoor ceremonies in this region, and I love helping couples bring their vision to life under the wide West Texas skies.
