Julie Rohret
Ordained Minister in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
About Me:
I'm friendly and love to help other folks. I initally got ordained to help my friends get married. During these COVID times, I've actually helped quite a few couples get married. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart. We have a son and two dogs (used to have three but lost one to cancer).
I grew up in a dysfunctional catholic household as my parents divorced when I was 5 years old. I have performed all the rituals in the Catholic church growing up: baptism, first communion, reconciliation, and confirmation. I have not stepped foot in a Catholic church since confirmation unless it was for a friend's wedding, to be my nephew's Godmother, or for a funeral.
I believe all people should be able to believe what they want to believe and practice what fits their lifestyle best. It was hard to grow up Catholic in a divorced family where my father remarried once and my mother remarried twice.
I prefer to perform agnostic ceremonies as I have not gone through a wedding ordination through any religious outfit other than ULC (this website).
