Mel Chapman

My early upbringing and faith foundation was firmly rooted in the Roman Catholic Church. By late in adolescense and through my university years, I adopted more of a Deist belief system. My late 20's thru 40's were truly spiritual in nature and thought, exploring the foundations of several world religions, as well as new age religious practices, and blending these where there was commonality with my Christian foundation. In mid-adulthood I have returned to an organized approach to faith in Protestant traditions including both Episcopalian and Lutheran doctrinal study.

I believe that God resides in each of us as a divine spark, in addition to encompassing the world around us. As such, we are all manifestations of a creator God, and should strive to find ways to live in harmony with all human kind as well as within the natural world.
