Ms Jeanette Broussard

My name is Jeanette Dugas Broussard and I live Louisiana. I am married to Merlin Broussard and we have two wonderful grown children Glenn and Amy, We also have been blessed with 3 amazing grandchildren. The oldest is a girl and two handsome boys.

Early Life I was born in Lafayette Louisiana in 1962. The second Daughter in a family of 4. I am Cajun by heritage. Therefore I was raised Catholic and from an early age yearned to know more about God and Jesus. I learned to read the bible later in life and have loved reading from it each day as it fills my soul with understanding and Closeness.

Call to Ministry At a young age in my early twenties I was called on by an Uncle who was on his death bed. He asked me to become a "Traitor" (Cajun French) For a healer as he was passing this on to me. Serving the sick or needy has always been a part of my life. Even as I minister to the community through this I use prayer and the "Word: of God" to help them to feel better. I have never accepted anything for the work I do not even accept a "thank you" as in our tradition and in my opinion "I am just an instrument of God." I always end a visit by asking the person to pray or read the Bible that evening and thank the Lord God for I am but a middle man and The Lord God is to be thanked for everything.
