Titus Battle
Ordained Minister in Brooklyn, New York
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister online because I believe ministry should be rooted in compassion, peace, conscience, and service to humanity—not gatekeeping. I wanted the legal and moral ability to stand with people during meaningful moments of life, especially moments involving love, family, healing, remembrance, and human dignity. My calling is simple: protect children, honor life, encourage peace, and help people feel seen.
Where are you from?
I am from Brooklyn, New York, with deep roots in Birmingham, Alabama as well. My life experience has been shaped by community struggle, faith questions, compassion work, advocacy, and a lifelong concern for children and families.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to use my ordination to serve people in practical and meaningful ways: officiating ceremonies, encouraging families, standing for children’s rights, promoting peace, and bringing a thoughtful, compassionate presence to important life moments. I want my ministry to reflect dignity, wisdom, healing, and hope—especially for those who feel forgotten, overlooked, or wounded by life.
