Sara Kennedy
Ordained Minister in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
Like many of us, it was an emergency! A friend had a June wedding planned, and was looking for a celebrant for a February wedding to include her father, who was dying. ULC to the rescue, and then I discovered I loved representing the people's ministry in this way.
Where are you from?
I have lived in Colorado Springs for 30 years, and was accustomed to moving every two years before that since my dad was in the military. I graduated from the University of Kansas in an allied health field and have had two long careers that I absolutely loved.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to bring couples and families together in an inclusive way, with ceremonies designed mostly by individuals with my guidance for their important milestones.
