Renata Amaral
Ordained Minister in Danbury, Connecticut
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I was first inspired to become ordained when one of my closest friends asked me to officiate her wedding. Being trusted to stand beside two people on such a meaningful day felt like a beautiful honor, and it opened the door to something I would love to continue doing.
Where are you from?
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and now living in Connecticut.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to create meaningful, personal ceremonies that truly reflect the people I’m celebrating. As a bilingual English-Portuguese speaker, I especially love the idea of bringing families and cultures together through ceremonies that feel warm, inclusive, and authentic.
