Rev. Dr. Amanda King
Ordained Minister in Gurdon, Arkansas
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became ordained through the Universal Life Church after walking through deep personal loss—the death of my father and then my young adult son. In that season of grief I discovered how much I needed a holistic, spiritually grounded path to healing that honored mind, body, and spirit together. Ordination allows me to answer that same calling for others: to offer spiritual counseling and Reiki with integrity, meeting people where they are, without judgment, and helping them reconnect with their inner strength and truth.
Where are you from?
AR
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to continue serving as a compassionate presence for people navigating grief, stress, or major life transitions. Through spiritual counseling and Reiki—both in person in the Arkadelphia area and by distance—I want to walk alongside others as they find clarity, self-acceptance, and lasting inner peace. My deepest desire is simply to help people discover the light and healing that already live within them, and to offer that support as both a sacred ministry and the work that sustains my family.
Religious Affiliations

I practice Non-Denominational Christianity while remaining open and respectful of each person’s own spiritual path. My work focuses on holistic healing of mind, body, and spirit through spiritual counseling and Reiki.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Gurdon, AR wedding officiant?
I bring the same heart-centered, non-judgmental presence I offer in spiritual counseling and Reiki. Every ceremony is personalized so it feels authentic to the couple—whether they want something traditional, deeply spiritual, quiet and intimate, or uniquely their own. My goal is for the ceremony to feel like a genuine reflection of their love and values, held in a space of calm, respect, and genuine care.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I primarily serve the Arkadelphia area and surrounding communities within a 60-mile radius in southern Arkansas. I am happy to travel within this range for both in-person spiritual counseling/Reiki sessions and ceremonies.
