I originally sought ordination to help a couple who couldn't find a minister for their wedding. Though that particular ceremony didn't end up happening, I stayed ordained because I enjoy being able to help people celebrate important moments in their lives.

My hope is to be a resource for couples who struggle to find an officiant willing to marry them — especially same-sex couples and couples of color. I want everyone to have access to someone who will celebrate their marriage without hesitation.

I currently work as an administrator for the United Methodist Church, and I hold to John Wesley's core belief that God offers salvation and grace to all people, and that true faith is expressed through active love for God and neighbor. That conviction — grace and love extended to everyone, without exception — is the same spirit I try to bring to every ceremony I officiate.

I keep my ceremonies simple and personal, tailored to each couple, while making sure every guest feels warm and included. My goal is for the day to feel authentic to the couple — not scripted or generic.

My rate starts at $150, with a sliding scale or payment plan available for couples for whom cost is a barrier — please don't let price stop you from reaching out. I'm based in Illinois and happy to travel to surrounding states, including Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Beyond traditional wedding ceremonies, I'm also happy to preside over commitment ceremonies. Whatever the couple chooses, my approach stays the same: simple, personal, warm, and inclusive — with a particular commitment to serving same-sex couples and couples of color who may have had trouble finding an officiant willing to marry them.
