Ordained Minister in New York, New York
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online so that I could officiate the wedding ceremony of a close friend. When my friend asked me to play such an important role in their special day, I was honored and wanted to make the experience as personal and meaningful as possible. Rather than having a stranger perform the ceremony, they felt that someone who knew them well could better reflect their relationship, values, and journey together.
The process of becoming ordained online provided an accessible way for me to legally and responsibly fulfill that role. While my initial motivation was to help my friend, the experience gave me a greater appreciation for the significance of marriage ceremonies and the responsibility that comes with officiating them. Preparing for the wedding allowed me to learn about the legal requirements, ceremony structure, and the importance of creating a memorable experience for the couple and their families.
What started as a way to support a close friend became a rewarding opportunity to participate in one of the most meaningful moments of their lives. Being able to stand with them on their wedding day and help celebrate their commitment to each other was both a privilege and an experience I will always cherish.
