Tara Anura
Ordained Minister in Saint Louis, Missouri
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
Life's moments are meant to be celebrated or grieved together. Let's talk about what you image for your small, medium or large gathering. I can sign documents, officiate a small ceremony, conduct a ritual, or be a mistress of ceremony at a wacky rainbow event. Get it done or have lots of fun.
Where are you from?
Saint Louis, MO and the rural Ozarks
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
Alright all of my LGBTQIA+ and other folks out there who believe that love is love between consenting adults no matter your faith or none, race, culture, nationality. I can now legally conduct your marriage ceremony. I will honor whatever you chose to call the occasion and your celebration preferences. I am in the STL Mo area. I am also available for compassionate funerals that honor your choices and the needs of chosen friends and family. I am here for community and being a part of judgement free life affirming rituals and acknowledgements.
Religious Affiliations
Buddhism, Neopaganism
Additional Information
I believe in spirituality and that each person has their own faith or none. I was raised by Methodist and Baptist ministers so I understand Christian ceremonies. I have practiced mysticism since I was twelve and became a public Priestess of the Goddess since at eighteen. I trained with Starhawk, Cherry Hill Seminary, Shekhina Mountainwater, and many other mystical men and women. I took my Tibetan lay householder Buddhist Dakini vows with Lama Dechen Yeshe Wangmo
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Saint Louis, MO wedding officiant?
You choose if you want something romantic, solemn, or wacky. My fees are sliding scale. Are we going to a church or a LGBTQ+ event? My favorite wedding was held on a Santa Cruz beach. Lay Buddhists provided the music along with the ocean surf.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
Sliding scale negotiation includes travel time to and from, if it is a simple witnessing and signature or the length of a event/ceremony.
