Fr. M.D. Adams
Ordained Minister in Leesville, Louisiana
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I'm a dedicated spiritual guide with a passion for creating meaningful ceremonies that honor life's significant moments. My ministry focuses on helping people connect with their spiritual selves through personalized rituals, while fostering community and compassion in an increasingly disconnected world. I believe that everyone deserves access to spiritual guidance that resonates with their personal beliefs, regardless of traditional religious affiliations. I sought ordination to formalize my calling to serve others during life's pivotal moments. The online pathway allowed me to blend my spiritual interests with practical service, enabling me to officiate weddings, provide comfort during difficult times, and celebrate life's transitions with authenticity and meaning. I appreciated that the ULC's approach respects individual spiritual paths while providing legitimate credentials.
Where are you from?
I'm based in Central Louisiana, where I'm actively involved in my local community. Though I serve people from diverse backgrounds and locations, I'm grounded in the rich traditions and progressive values here.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My goal is to create a welcoming space for spiritual exploration and meaningful ceremonies. Through my ordination, I aim to bridge gaps between traditional religious structures and contemporary spiritual needs, helping people mark life's important moments with dignity and personal significance. I'm particularly committed to supporting couples in creating authentic wedding ceremonies that reflect their unique values and love stories.

Additional Information
My approach to religious affiliation aligns with the Universal Life Church's core principle of religious freedom and the right of each individual to follow their own spiritual path. Rather than adhering to a single doctrine, I draw wisdom from various spiritual traditions and philosophical perspectives, recognizing that truth and meaning can be found in many different forms of belief. I honor all faith backgrounds—including those who identify as spiritual but not religious—as well as secular humanist perspectives. For ceremonies, I'm comfortable incorporating elements from Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Earth-based traditions, or other spiritual practices that hold meaning for the people involved, while equally skilled in creating completely secular ceremonies focused on human connection and personal values. My theological perspective emphasizes love, compassion, and human dignity as universal values that transcend specific religious frameworks. I believe that meaningful spiritual practice is more about how we live our values than about adhering to particular doctrines. This inclusive approach allows me to serve people from all walks of life without judgment, creating ceremonies that feel authentic to each person's truth while maintaining appropriate reverence and respect for all traditions. I'm committed to ongoing spiritual education and interfaith dialogue, continually learning about different belief systems to better serve my diverse community.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Leesville, LA wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is my dedication to crafting deeply personal experiences that truly reflect each couple's unique story and values. I invest significant time in getting to know the people I'm uniting—understanding their journey together, their individual personalities, and what makes their relationship distinctive. This allows me to create ceremonies with authentic moments, meaningful rituals, and personalized touches that resonate with both the couple and their guests.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I have extensive experience officiating ceremonies across a variety of venues throughout Louisiana. I've developed particular expertise in several types of locations that each offer their own unique charm and challenges:
Outdoor natural settings hold a special place in my heart—beaches, mountain overlooks, forest clearings, and botanical gardens allow for profound connection with nature during ceremonies. I'm experienced in working around weather considerations and sound amplification needs in these environments.
Historic venues and cultural landmarks provide wonderful backdrops with their architectural beauty and significance. I've developed relationships with staff at many local historical sites, museums, and landmark buildings, understanding their specific requirements and restrictions.
I'm also comfortable officiating in less conventional settings such as breweries, art galleries, private homes, and even unique spots like barns, warehouses, or rooftops. Each presents different logistical considerations I'm adept at managing.
While I travel throughout the state I've found particular fulfillment serving communities in Central Louisiana where I have developed deeper connections. That said, I'm always excited to discover new locations that hold personal significance for the couples I work with.
