Nicole Pruitt
Ordained Minister in Newberg, Oregon
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became ordained online to officiate the wedding of a dear friend who, after many years, finally found the love of her life. What started as a way to make her day even more meaningful quickly became something bigger. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to celebrate their love in a way that feels authentic, personal, and joyful, and I'm honored to help couples create a ceremony that reflects their unique story, because everyone deserves love.
Where are you from?
Portland, OR
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My hope is to create ceremonies that make couples feel seen, celebrated, and deeply connected on one of the most important days of their lives. I want every ceremony to reflect each couple's unique story and values, creating memories they'll cherish for years to come. Above all, I hope to help make love feel welcomed, honored, and accessible to everyone, because every couple deserves a meaningful beginning to their next chapter.

Additional Information
I was raised in the United Church of Christ, where I learned the importance of compassion, inclusion, and the belief that every person is created with dignity and worth. The Open and Affirming values of the UCC have deeply shaped my understanding that love is not something to be limited or conditional; it is something to be celebrated. I believe that all people are loved by God unapologetically and fully, and that every person deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and honored for exactly who they are. These beliefs guide me in creating ceremonies that celebrate love in all its beautiful and unique forms.
