Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
“I originally became an ordained minister online because I wanted the flexibility to officiate weddings and other ceremonies for friends and family in a way that reflects both my Catholic faith and my openness to inclusive spirituality. For me, it wasn’t about pursuing a formal clerical career, but about having the legal and symbolic ability to support loved ones during important life events.

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
“With my online ordination, I hope to be able to support friends and family during important life events by officiating weddings or other ceremonies in a way that is meaningful to them. For me, it’s less about holding a formal clerical role and more about creating inclusive, personalized experiences that reflect both my Catholic faith and my respect for spiritual diversity.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a San Jose, SJ wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the balance I bring between tradition and personalization. I draw on my Catholic background to give the ceremony a sense of reverence, while also embracing the inclusivity of the Universal Life Church to make sure the couple’s values and personalities shine through. My goal is to create a meaningful, authentic experience that feels both respectful and uniquely theirs.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I am based in San Jose, Costa Rica, which allows me to travel easily throughout the country. I have special experience in areas like Limon, where I enjoy the Afro-Caribbean culture and coastal settings, and Guanacaste, known for its Pacific beaches and vibrant tourism. Being centrally located gives me the flexibility to support events and ceremonies across diverse regions, whether in the capital or along the coasts.
