Konrad J. Bruns-Rytting

I chose to become an ordained minister because I believe that one of the greatest purposes we can have is serving others during life's most meaningful moments. Throughout my career in healthcare and social services, I have been privileged to support people during times of joy, grief, transition, and healing. Becoming ordained felt like a natural extension of that calling, allowing me to officiate weddings, lead memorials, offer blessings, and provide compassionate spiritual support in an inclusive way that welcomes people of every background and belief.

I am from Tacoma, Washington, where I live and work in healthcare leadership. My experiences serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, and families have shaped my commitment to compassion, dignity, and community service.

I hope to build a ministry centered on compassion, inclusion, and human connection. My goal is to serve people during some of the most important moments of their lives by officiating weddings, memorial services, blessings, and other ceremonies that reflect their values and beliefs. I also hope to foster a sense of belonging by encouraging kindness, respect for one another, and stewardship of our communities and the natural world. Above all, I want my ministry to remind people that every life has inherent worth and that empathy and service can bring people together across differences.

My ministry is interfaith and non-denominational. I respect and honor people of every faith tradition, as well as those who identify as spiritual but not religious or who do not practice a religion at all. I believe ceremonies should reflect the beliefs and values of the people they celebrate, and I strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and included.

Every couple has a unique story, and I believe their ceremony should reflect that. I work closely with couples to create ceremonies that are deeply personal, meaningful, and authentic to their relationship. Whether the ceremony is spiritual, secular, interfaith, LGBTQ+ affirming, or completely customized, my goal is to create an experience that feels genuine, welcoming, and memorable for everyone present. My background in healthcare and social services has taught me how to listen with empathy, communicate with compassion, and help people feel comfortable during life's most significant moments.

I am based in Tacoma, Washington, and primarily serve Pierce County, King County, Thurston County, Kitsap County, and surrounding communities. I am happy to travel throughout Western Washington for weddings and other ceremonies, and I am open to discussing travel for destinations outside the region.

I welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, cultures, and beliefs. In addition to weddings, I am available for vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, celebrations of life, memorial services, house blessings, pet blessings, naming ceremonies, and other meaningful life events. My philosophy is rooted in respect, compassion, dignity, and the belief that every person deserves to have their important moments honored with care and authenticity.
