Mikaela Lorene McElfresh
Ordained Minister in Brooklyn, New York
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I first became ordained because two of my closest friends asked me to officiate their wedding. It was such an incredible honor to play such an important role in one of the happiest days of their lives. Being trusted to tell their story, celebrate their love, and pronounce them married showed me how meaningful a wedding ceremony can be.
That experience inspired me to continue officiating for other couples. I believe every love story is unique, and I enjoy creating ceremonies that feel personal, heartfelt, and true to each couple. There's nothing more rewarding than helping people celebrate the beginning of their next chapter and giving them a ceremony they'll remember for the rest of their lives.
