Julie Anne Smithburg
Ordained Minister in Sinajana, Guam
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister because of my Christian faith and my desire to serve others during some of life's most meaningful moments. I wanted the ability to officiate weddings and other special ceremonies in a way that feels personal, heartfelt, and centered on the people and their story.
Where are you from?
I am a U.S. Air Force veteran and longtime resident of Guam, where I am actively involved in veteran outreach, community service, and volunteer work. Guam is home, and I have a deep appreciation for our island's diverse cultures, military community, and strong sense of family and faith.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to use my ordination to help couples create meaningful and personal wedding ceremonies that truly reflect their love, values, faith, and unique story. As a Christian, I especially welcome the opportunity to officiate faith-based ceremonies, while also respecting each couple and what is meaningful to them. I would also love to serve veterans, military families, and members of my local community during some of life's most important moments.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Sinajana, GU wedding officiant?
I believe every love story is unique, and the ceremony should be too. I take the time to understand each couple, their journey, their values, and what matters most to them so their ceremony feels personal, heartfelt, and truly reflective of who they are. My Christian faith guides me to approach each ceremony with love, grace, sincerity, and compassion. My hope is to create a moment that feels genuine and meaningful—not simply a ceremony, but a beautiful memory the couple and their loved ones will carry with them for years to come.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I am based in Guam and am available to travel islandwide for ceremonies, including churches, beaches, gardens, private residences, military settings, and other meaningful locations.
