Gaby 'Dannie' Rodriguez
Ordained Minister in Pflugerville, Texas
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister online because I felt a genuine calling to serve others during some of life's most meaningful moments. I wanted the ability to officiate weddings, lead memorial and funeral services, offer blessings, and provide compassionate spiritual care to people both inside and outside of a traditional church setting.
Rather than viewing online ordination as the destination, I saw it as the first step in a lifelong journey of ministry. As my calling became clearer, I enrolled at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary to pursue a Master of Divinity degree. My seminary education is helping me develop a deeper understanding of Scripture, theology, pastoral care, ethics, and leadership so that I can serve others with both compassion and competence.
My goal has never been simply to hold the title of minister. I am committed to growing into a well-trained, thoughtful, and faithful servant who can walk alongside people during weddings, baptisms, funerals, memorial services, and other significant milestones, offering Christ's love, hope, and grace in every season of life.
Where are you from?
Originally from Laredo and living in Pflugerville, Texas.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I hope to use my online ordination as a foundation for a lifetime of ministry and service. My goal is to officiate weddings, baptisms, funerals, memorial services, home blessings, and other meaningful ceremonies with compassion, integrity, and respect for every individual and family I serve.
My ordination is one step in a larger journey. I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary to deepen my understanding of Scripture, theology, pastoral care, and Christian leadership. I believe that combining formal theological education with practical ministry experience will prepare me to serve others faithfully and effectively.
I also hope to reach people who have felt disconnected from the church, including members of the LGBTQ community and others who may have experienced rejection or spiritual hurt. I want to be a minister who listens well, welcomes people with compassion, and reflects Christ's love through genuine relationships and faithful service.
Ultimately, I hope my ministry helps people encounter God's grace during life's most important moments while building bridges of hope, healing, and belonging.

Additional Information
My faith journey has included experiences in several Christian traditions, which has given me a deep appreciation for the richness and diversity of the Christian faith. Those experiences have strengthened my commitment to Christ while also teaching me the importance of humility, compassion, and meeting people where they are.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where I am continuing to grow in biblical studies, theology, and pastoral care. My ministry is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and a desire to serve others with love, grace, and integrity.
While I value Christian tradition, I also believe the Church is called to extend hospitality and compassion to all people. My goal is to build relationships, serve faithfully, and create meaningful experiences that reflect God's love for every person I have the privilege of serving.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Pflugerville, TX wedding officiant?
I believe the most meaningful ceremonies are those that are deeply personal, thoughtfully prepared, and centered on the couple's unique story. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all script, I want to spend time getting to know each couple so their ceremony reflects their values, personalities, and the commitment they are making to one another.
As someone pursuing a Master of Divinity at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, I bring a growing foundation in theology and pastoral care while striving to create ceremonies that are both spiritually meaningful and welcoming. Whether a couple desires a traditional Christian ceremony, a simple civil service, or a personalized celebration of their relationship, my goal is to officiate with warmth, professionalism, and respect.
I also hope to serve couples who may have struggled to find a minister willing to celebrate their love, including LGBTQ couples. I believe every couple deserves a ceremony that honors their commitment with dignity, joy, and authenticity.
Above all, I want every ceremony to leave people feeling that they have witnessed something sacred—not because of the officiant, but because two people have publicly committed themselves to a lifetime of love, faithfulness, and mutual support.
